z- William Harold, 6’8″, 215, Freshman

image_thumb.pngAntelope Valley College bolstered its four/five positions when another “Big” who joined AVC this summer,  William Harold, 6’8”, 215.  Harold graduated from Locke High School 2012-13 where he competed in basketball and track and field. An excellent student, he graduated with a 3.1 grade point average.  Harold averaged 12 points, seven rebounds and four blocks as a senior at Locke HS.  He was named to the Redondo Beach All-Tournament Team and helped his team advance to the second round of the LA City Playoffs.

William was recruited to D-2 Cal State Los Angeles after HS graduation and red-shirted his freshman year at CSLA in 2013-14.  The head coach that recruited him was replaced at Cal State LA and Harold left the program.

William decided to join Antelope Valley College as he has family that lives close to AVC and he is looking for stability with an elite JUCO team where he can learn to maximize his basketball skills and academics.

William Harold runs the floor extremely well, has great jumping ability and has excellent  timing for shot blocking and rebounding.  A quiet serious young man that looks like he will fit very well with the AVC team and has a chance of showing his potential at the next level.

The AVC coaching staff and William Harold have decided that due to his late start at AVC this year it would be to his advantage to red-shirt this year at AVC.
