Kenneth “KJ” Moffitt, 6’2″, 190, California Lutheran U, D-3, 2016

imageAVC’s fourth scholarship awardee this year, KJ Moffitt, 6’2”, 190 guard/wing accepted a scholarship from California Lutheran University.  Moffitt received the maximum scholarship that can be awarded at the D-3 level.

Kenneth will be joining his teammate from AVC, Adrian Francis, PG who is now a senior at Cal Lu.  Adrian must be drooling with KJ joining him.  Moffitt is s strong, physical player who is an excellent ball handler who will be at the right place in the half court and an excellent man on the fast break.  Add to that he is a true team player with excellent academic skills that definitely needed at Cal Lutheran.

imageIn 2010, California Lutheran University was ranked 18th among Regional Universities in the West by U.S. News & World Report,[11] moving up to 14th in 2013. Forbes ranked CLU 276 out of 650 “Top Colleges” in the US.[12]

imageCal Lu is part of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and competes against the universities listed.  The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) is a college athletic conference that operates in the NCAA‘s Division III. The conference was founded in 1915 and it consists of twelve small private schools which are located in Southern California and organized into nine athletic programs. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer are combined teams for sports purposes.

Congratulations to KJ.  He is going to have a couple of really productive years both in basketball and academic-wise at CLU.
