In 2014, Elie Ghomsi arrived in the United States from Cameroon, Africa. Elie graduated from St. Paul’s High School in 2017.    In his senior year he scored 15 ppg  with 15 rpg until he experienced a serious achilles tendon injury.   He had been heavily recruited by D-1 universities before the injury occurred.  He was offered a scholarship by D-2 Minnesota State University where he was red-shirted due to his injury in 2017-18.

Ghomsi basketball goals are simple.  Continue to work to get back to full strength from the injury, while  learning new skills that will make him a more well rounded player.   He then expects to move on to the University level receiving a  scholarship and his bachelors degree.  Finally after college,  he expects to play profession basketball at the highest level he is capable of.

Elie is happy to re-join team-mate Kylan Mann, 6-4, 200 shooting guard who transferred to AVC after red-shirting at D-2 Hawaii-Hilo.  Will the dynamic duo break loose for AVC?

Welcome to AVC Eli.
