Justin Douglas, 5’10”, 185 guard from Highland High School joined Antelope Valley College in the summer 2017.  Justin led his team as co-captain.

He shared the point guard and shooting guard positions with his team-mates.  A very physically strong basketball player who can shoot the three ball and slash into the middle.  Justin scored 5.9= ppg, 1.2 apg,, 2.2 rpg and 1.2 spg.

He became ill last year with a serious illness and could not play basketball and so was red-shirted.  His physician team diagnosed his illness and  he is back to 100%.  He lost a year of basketball and is getting “caught up” this year.

JL0_9432Justin believes his best strengths on the basketball court are his  shooting, ball handling and defense.  He feels that he needs to improve his court vision skills.

Looking toward the near future, Justin wants to complete his AA degree at AVC, receive a university scholarship and play basketball as far as possible.  He is not sure what his major will be but,  is keeping an eye open for a field that he can enjoy and where he will be a success in the long run.

AVC welcomes Justin Douglas back to the basketball team and his first experience in college.
