Medical Update…AVC BB Players

Posted: September 22, 2017 in AVC Men's Basketball

It was a tough past weekend at the Fall 2017 JUCO Jamboree for the health of the AVC players.

Jamar Kemp

Jamar Kemp, 6’8″, 300 Center arrived at AVC with a tender knee from his freshman year playing at State Fair Community College.  He was able to workout and play the first two games before his knee became very painful.  Jamar sat out the last two final games and currently is scheduled for a MRI testing in the near future.

Julian Payton3

Julian Payton, 5’11”, 160, Point Guard arrived at AVC after two years out of basketball due to a shoulder injury/surgery/rehab.  It is expected that it will take a period of time to get his body back into basketball  shape.  Julian started the battle back and was doing very well until his foot was stepped on by one of his teammates during a workout.  He missed two games in the Jamboree this weekend and was under treatment/observation by the medical staff at AVC.  P.S.  Back on the floor Thursday.

Osi Shot

Osinachi Nwachukwa, 6’4″, 210, guard/wing received a hard foul and fell on his shoulder in the second game of the Jamboree this weekend.  He currently is improving but still off the floor.

I will up date the readers on the player condition in the near future.
