“Am I Willing to Put up with his “S—?”

Posted: August 4, 2017 in AVC Men's Basketball

Most JUCO teams currently have the basketball players they are going to live with for the rest of the year.  But, there is not a coach in college basketball that is totally happy with his players.  There are coaches out there still scratching, wheedling, and promising players the world to come to their college.  Some coaches are trying to steal players from other JUCO teams and bringing in the few players still out there who are finally accepting that the D-1 call from “Duke” is not coming through.

On the other side of the coin there are coaches out there who are trying to decide whether to offer a slot, on a very talented  team, who is a super basketball player but is a known problem child.  These thoughts may be going through the coaches minds;

the thinker
Decisions Decisions

“Will this player be a cancer that will wreak a currently happy team?”  “Is this guy really good enough for me to put up with his sh-t?” “Any chance at all that this kid will go to class?”

Like the LA Dodger’s showed this week, even if you are loaded with talent, you must be willing to take a chance to improve the best team in baseball…but not too big of a chance.  Fun time of the year.
