NCAA TOURNAMENT

Sure has been fun watching the NCAA Tournament this year.  My biggest surprise has been how far off the “experts” have been about the quality of D-1 basketball on the West Coast.  Congratulations to Oregon and Gonzaga University.    Biggest disappointment for me…Arizona University.  So much talent that looked very low energy in their loss in the tournament.

FOUND REPLACEMENT POWER FORWARD FOR AVC?

AVC is losing it stud power forward Jailen Gill, 6’7” 215 this year as he is heading on scholarship to the D-1 University of Tennessee-Martin.  He led AVC in scoring and rebounding and helped lead them to the State Tournament.

Out for dinner this past weekend and saw a young man who was I found out was 6’7”, 235.  Good size for JUCO and was solid muscle.  The man with him just happened to be his dad and we had a great conversation.  The young man just had his 16 birthday, had already decided he was going to be a tight end in the NFL…and sounded if the NFL already agrees.  Wonder how big and talented he will be by the time he is 25 year old? Shucks, no power forward for AVC.  LOL.
