Failure Makes You Ready for Success?

“We have had some failures under our belt this year.  It’s what makes us ready for success in the playoff.”

With a 19-10 record…AVC is not use to that kind of inconsistency in winning basketball.  It could be as coach said the other day, "We’ve had teams that had great seasons, and then we ran into a hot team in the tournament and it was over," Taylor said. "This year, we may just be that hot team in March."

Tonight AVC will be taking on Santa Monica who have three players who are averaging in double figures and play their whole team much like AVC does.  They are averaging nearly 80 points a game and are solid free throw shooting team(20 free throws made per game).  Add to that 20 three ball attempts per game making 34%(7 made)(21 points).  More than half of their points from three balls and free throws.  Finally AVC and Santa Monica both average 38 rebounds per game so the Marauders are going to have to concentrate on taking over that statistical category.

Look for a hard fought game as this is a “One and Done” situation.
