AVC Comes in Third in Chabot Tournament

Posted: December 31, 2016 in AVC Men's Basketball, AVC Men's BB 2016-17, Pre-Conference

Two wins and one loss. The two wins were run away wins against unranked but solid teams;  AVC 100 verses Chabot 66 and AVC 95 verses Sierra 66.  The loss, AVC 79 verses Diablo Valley 94, was a thumping by #5 ranked Diablo Valley.  Three key losses for AVC have been against ranked teams, Saddleback, Fullerton and Diablo Valley, who all have very quick high scoring point guards.  AVC has had difficulty in handling players like this defensively.

I missed AVC’s final win where they scored 100 points against home team Chabot for a 34 point run away.  Needed to head home for family issue.

AVC will have very little rest as they head down to the MiraCosta tournament which has a number of ranked and tough teams that AVC is going to have to play well to beat.
