Charles Hall Sets AVC Team Record of 17 Assists in 95-66 Win

Charles Hall4With only one player returning to the team this year, it took about five games into the season for the AVC team to understand and accept their role and for the coaching staff to fine tune the rotations.  Since then, AVC is playing closer and closer to their potential as a team with a 7-1 record. 

Led by sophomore point guard, Charles “Scooter” Hall, 6’1”, 180 who broke every Antelope Valley College assist record with 17 in one game, AVC rolled over Sierra College by 29 points.

With all those assists floating around(36 assists for AVC), five  players scored in double figures;

Chris Solis, 21, Jailen Gill 18, Cory Dollarhide 16, Antone “Ace” Warren 13 and Osi Nwackukwau, 12 points.  When AVC spreads their scoring around the team they win. 

Hall sets AV College assist record

HAYWARD – Antelope Valley College’s Charles Hall set a school record with 17 assists in his team’s 95-66 win over Sierra College in the Chabot Tournament on Wednesday.

The AV College team had 36 assists in the game. AV College (8-5) has won seven of its past eight games.

Cory Dollarhide scored 16 points and had five rebounds and five assists. He was 4-for-7 on 3-pointers.

Jailen Gill led AV College with 18 points. Five AV College players scored in double figures. Antone Warren had 13.

Osi Nwackukwau scored 12 points and Chris Solis scored 21 points off the bench. Solis made 7-of-12 3-point shots.

AV College plays Diablo Valley in the second round of the tournament today.
