The “Mid-Season” Begins for AVC

Posted: December 9, 2016 in AVC Men's Basketball, AVC Men's BB 2016-17, Pre-Conference

In an average year AVC plays about 30 games a year.  Last year at this time AVC was 10-0 and ranked #1 in the State polls.  This year, AVC is 5-5 and unranked.  Its time to put those first 10 games behind us and concentrate on the next 20 games left to play.  In fact, lets break it down to two additional 10 game “seasons”, Mid season and “Final season”.

Mid Season will begin tonight at 7 pm on the road against College of the Canyons.  Speaking of on the road, AVC will be on the road 9 of 10 games during mid-season including single games with College of the Canyons, single game at West Hills Coalinga, three game Chabot Tournament(Oakland area), three game MiraCosta Tournament(Oceanside) and finally the first two conference games where AVC has  one home game against LA Valley.  Challenging but just what this team needs to step up to where they need to be.
