A Week of Pain/Academics for AVC

Posted: December 7, 2016 in AVC Men's Basketball, AVC Men's BB 2016-17, Pre-Conference

The 5-5 Antelope Valley College Men’s BB team who lost their tournament championship game after leading by 12 in the second half this weekend is in for a tough week.  Finals week is finally here and all-nighter’s are on the agenda.   Add to that a very unsatisfied coaching staff/team who may have gone through one of their most strenuous practices of the year on Tuesday

AVC is taking on 4-7 College of the Canyons on Friday at COC at 7 p.m. and I have no clue how AVC will look by then.  College of the Canyon’s is shooting 40% from beyond the arc and will probably play a packed zone to test how AVC’s long range shooting is doing.

Not much more to say other than, if AVC is going salvage this season, its time for them to start on Friday.   A quick reminder to the team;  Its much tougher to get recruited to the next level from a losing team than a winning team and grades are just as important.  This is college basketball men.
