It is Thanksgiving and we have so much to be thankful for;  family, health and happiness.  When it comes to basketball, I saved my update of a player on Thanksgiving for a player that everyone at  AVC is very thankful for;  Cory Dollarhide.  The 6.0”, 180 guard is the team captain, leads the team in scoring and is the go to player when you need a stop or score to win the game.

For example, Cory in the last game, a big win against Riverside,  he had the kind of game you want to see:  32 minutes, overall shooting from the floor = 5-7, beyond the arc = 4-4, 7-8 from the free throw line, 4 rebounds and 2 assists.

Cory’s life style?  Full-time school with excellent academics, working a job at 30 hours a week, fulltime college basketball….captain of the team…and on his free time?  Shooting and weights at 24 hour fitness.

I am giving thanks for Cory Dollarhide.
