Four young AVC freshmen looked really good this past weekend at the JUCO Shootout.   They made mistakes but showed potential.  When they add defense, clean up their mistakes and learn the system at multiple positions, they will get lots of playing time.

Chris Solis...shooterChris Solis, 6’2", 180 Great ball handler, one of the best 3 ball shooter we have seen.  It will be a scary thought for opponents to have sophomore Cory Dollarhide and Chris Solis in the line up together.

Myles Wise...DefenseMiles Wise, 6’3", 175  After a breaking his wrist  and sitting out a injury red-shirt year, this smart, athletic player was chipping off some of the rust but also showed flashes of brilliance.  A man to watch.

Darik Pradia...shooter

Dariik Pradia, 6’4", 180  Great size, solid shooter from all ranges, rebounder and runs the floor.   When he learns the system watch out.

Jessie Burns1

Jessie Burns, 6’8", 240  The 18 year old baby brute stepped right in behind sophomore Ace Warren 6’10”, 265.  He blocked shots and ripped down rebounds, had put backs and generally plugged up the paint.  Things are going to improve as he learns the system and gets into playing shape.  Saw the big man with the coaching staff running the track this morning.
