Adrian Francis…Big Senior Year at Cal Lutheran?…JUCO Update

AVC’s Adrian Francis who received a scholarship at D-3 Cal Lutheran last year is looking forward to a big senior year both basketball and academically.  Adrian started this past year big leading the team in scoring and assists at the point guard position.  Unfortunately, Adrian ran into an academic bump in the first semester and was not eligible for the rest of the season(conference).

Adrian has put that behind him and looks to make up for missing  part of the season and says he is ready for the 2016-17 at Cal Lu.

It is always surprising how good a player can become when they workout with great coaching and compete against top talent.  In the best cases they get as driven as the rest of the top players.

I enjoy this time of the year watching the young ones coming into the colleges to take their pre-admission college academic testing.  Especially if they score better than they expect, how proud they are handing the results to the coach.

On the other hand, watching the young ones observe a workout and see the shock they have at the size, speed, shooting ability and power of the players on the floor.  “Good grief!”  “I didn’t know a JUCO team was this good.”
