On the Road Again…Who is Ready?

Posted: January 13, 2016 in AVC Men's Basketball, AVC Men's BB 2015-16, conference, Player

After two conference games played in the Western State-South, only three teams remain undefeated…AVC, Bakersfield and LA Valley.  Very balanced group of teams this year.

After tonight’s games, there will be at best,  two undefeated teams left and possibility only one.  AVC is on the road against a tough sophomore-laden team West Los Angeles who is hungry for a win.  With four WLA players averaging in double figures, AVC is going to have to play solid defense.

AVC may be without one of their starters, sophomore Brandon Wade, 6’3”, 190 who suffered a shoulder dislocation in the Citrus win in Saturday.  AVC will have to use its depth to overcome his unavailability tonight.

The two additional undefeated conference teams, Bakersfield and LA Valley will be battling it out at LA Valley tonight.  Bakersfield is a big favorite but LA Valley, a predominately sophomore team,  has improved dramatically in the last games with the addition of eligible players.

The main thing I am looking for tonight is how AVC will integrate the four players who have not been consistently available in the line up but now look to be ready for the conference battles and their playoff run.
