Update…Kenneth KJ Moffitt, 6’2”, 185, Sophomore

KJ is the “rock” of this year’s team.  He is the team co-captain and does anything that is necessary to win the game.  Quiet, never late for a practice, sets the example for the team.  In the two years at AVC his grades have been great, has worked part time, and leads the team by example.

On the floor, his main job is to be the shut down defender for the team.  Very strong and athletic and can shut down a quick point guard and a big 6’5” wing.  He also takes on the 6’7”, power forward if needed.  As this week-end’s tournament showed, if the team needs him to score he can do that too.  He led the team in scoring in the first game, double figures the second and ripped down 5 key rebounds in the third.  He is a great ball handler(can play the one) and loves to slash the middle.  Leave him open and he will burn you with his three ball.

Moffitt is one of those quiet players that every team needs to succeed.  A big part of AVC’s 12-0 record is based on KJ’s rock-like college basketball play.  AVC would not be where it is now without him.
